pip!doo was founded 2011 by Tamara Sy, Milka resclekovska, Solegne Lulu and Hranhildur Smoelke:
They had met in the frame of arada transdisciplinary festival Istanbul - Vienna: http://www.aradafest.com/
Since then they have realized 4 projects together: in between, Scores for dancers, find yourself a job - research & performance.
They work on the edge of fine arts, performance and video work.
Tamara Sy (BE) was born 1984 in Gent/Belgium and worked untill she was 22 Years old with the traveling circus Hipilili. Afterwards she studied transverse flute and linguistics in Salzburg/Austria.
At the moment she experiences herself as a freelancer in the Viennese snugness.
Milka Kresclekovska (POL) studied International Developement in Warsow and London. During the period of having a child she started to deal with art. Since then she works autodictactic and collective. Since 2011 her works are shown all over. She is financed by her husband.
We do not agree with the sellout of human beings. pip!doo is not interested in an ELITE, but in humanity. We are inspired by what is surrounding us and we believe there is a lot of beauty in every single being.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GET OUT OF THE FESTIVAL
As I know Misa and Stephen I know I will gain a lot, because they are putting a lot of love in their works and festivals and I am very grateful for knowing and meeting them again.
HAVE YOU PARTICIPATED IN FESTIVALS BEFORE? If so, what worked and what didn't work for you? What would you like to see more or less of?
I participated in different festivals. I love if participants come and spend time together in talks, give workshops for each other to exchange their experiences, etc. To cook and eat together is beautiful too. Or to do some spontaneous but planned performances in public space. I love to get to know people a little better, besides seeing them perform on stage.
DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK THE ARTISTS WILL BRING
Find yourself a job/ The Job Show
The work grew out of a research project Tamara and me did in March 2011 at Palais Kabelwerk, where we would advertise a fictional job, which was only fictional to us; then for one month having people for job interviews for this not yet exsisting job. Out of this the idea grew to do a job show, where you would win a job, not knowing which job, by being asked many questions like in a quiz show.
