How To Apply

Ten Easy Steps
 


We will not process incomplete applications so please make sure your packet is complete when you send it along. We suggest printing out this page to help you along the way.  Double check your checklist before sealing up the packet.
 
STEP ONE: PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE INFORMATION AND APPLICATION PACKET.

STEP TWO: Print out

*       SB-ADaPT Festival Checklist

*       SB-ADaPT Festival Guidelines Agreement – READ this carefully to make sure this harmonizes with who you are and your artistic vision.  These have been created to help ensure we all have an awesome experience!

 

STEP THREE: DVD

Choose the work(s) you want to submit.  We’d suggest getting feedback from colleagues prior to making a final decision about what to submit.  Burn the completed work(s) onto 2 DVDs and clearly label the DVDs with your name and the title of the work(s) on the DVDs.  Test the DVDs to make sure that they work.  Make sure you package it properly so it gets through to us undamaged.  IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING A WORK IN PROGRESS PLEASE ALSO INCLUDE A VIDEO OF A COMPLETED WORK (no excerpts please.)

 

STEP FOUR:  PHOTOS

Choose 3 or more dynamic high resolution photos representative of your work.  Please provide the following information

Artist(s) name(s):

Photographer’s name & permission to use the photos:

 

STEP FIVE: COMPLETE the Adjudicator Information Form

Fill the form out by simply typing in your answers.  Take your time with it and have fun!   Like a resume much of this you’ll be able to use for applying to Festivals and Showcases other places.

 

STEP SIX: BURN A CD

Burn a CD with the following on it

*       Your Completed Adjudicator Information Form

*       3 high resolution catching photos reflective of your work that photographer gives permission for us to use on our website and in promotional materials.

 

STEP SEVEN: PAYMENT

Write out TWO checks made out to the Future Traditions Foundation

*       First Check: non-refundable application fee.  $30 per work submitted

*       Second Check: production fee deposit.  $100 per work between 2:55 minutes & 9:55 minutes.

      Your deposit will be returned to you in event your work doesn’t get into the Festival this year.

 

STEP EIGHT: MAKE OUT A SHIPPING PACKET

STEP NINE: check off and sign away

*       Check things off on the SB-ADaPT Festival Check List and sign away

*       Check off on the SB-ADaPT Festival Guidelines Agreement and sign away

 

STEP TEN: PACKAGE IT UP AND SHIP IT OUT

Use the checklist to check off items as you put them in the package.  Don’t forget to put in the checklist!  Seal it up and ship it out!
